The DVMTA annual Cavalcade of Rhythm was held on March 5th this year. Twenty-five pianos, one stage, lots of fun and memories!
Jacob was my only son who wanted to perform this time! I'm so proud of all the work he put in to memorizing and polishing his two duets. The theme was "Dancing Duos" and all the songs on the program were dance tunes. The evening was a spoof on the TV show "Dancing With the Stars" and included some live dance performances.
This is Jacob and his partner Caitlyn Ashdown. The numbers they performed were "The Bunny Hop" and "Three Scottish Jigs."
These are my students Kaleb and Brenden Ethington. They played "Starlight Tango" and "Piggyback Waltz."
This is Sarah Jordan. She played two of my favorites: "Sleeping Beauty Waltz" and "Fire Dance."
After months of practice and rehearsals it is such a relief to be done with Cavalcade songs. Great Job Everyone!!! Now we can return to regular lessons. Whew!
