For the 100th Anniversary of Scouting, our council put on a combination Jamboree/Scoutorama = Jamborama!
When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was everyone carrying around these neat wooden swords! We jumped right in line and it ended up being the highlight of the day for Jacob and Isaac.
This year, they had separate activities for the different levels of Scouting. Jacob enjoyed the Cub Scouting games.
Noah went to the Boy Scout area and didn't think it was that fun. He did get the high score (so far) in paper airplane distance throwing and in casting with a fishing pole. Spencer, on the other hand, really enjoyed himself in the Varsity area! He got to try blacksmithing and made his own nail; hatchet and knife throwing; and rappelling.
Noah, Jacob, and Isaac all liked the miniature golf area. They had to answer Scouting questions to move to the next hole.
Jeremy stood in line with Jacob forever so he could cross the rope bridge.
The temperatures were climbing pretty high by the early afternoon. The boys all wanted a turn sitting in the dunk tank but they settled for throwing the ball instead.
Both Jacob and Isaac hit the target and dunked their Scout before we had to head home.
