We are Fablehaven fanatics at our house, so we jumped at the chance to meet Brandon Mull at Barnes and Noble! When we checked in we were disappointed to learn we were in a group near the end of the alphabet, but we kept our hopes up that the lines would move along. The boys got their faces painted while we waited. Isaac's is "Jacob the Werewolf" (please don't ask) and Jacob's is one of the Fablehaven dragons. We made some crafts, left for a while to eat dinner, came back and played brain games, and finally after four-and-a-half hours we got to spend 15 seconds with Mr. Mull. Was it worth it? Of course! Great memories were made and the flame of enthusiasm for reading was fanned.
