We let the boys sleep in a little this morning since we pushed them so hard the day before, but we still had some cranky (well, one in particular, who shall remain unnamed) boys who wanted to sleep longer and whose feet hurt. So, today was California Adventures and we started off with a cute Monsters, Inc. ride.

And then, what do you know, we met Mr. Incredible and got to show him our muscles!

While the two courageous members of our family went on the Tower of Terror, Spencer, Jacob, Isaac and I made our way over to A Bug's Land. Jacob's sweet tooth got sidetracked by these giant candy corns!

Jacob, you're going to get sick if you eat the whole thing!

While we waited for Jeremy and Noah, Jacob and Isaac had a total blast running through Flik's splash pad. They got SOAKED!

Spencer took advantage of the time to rest his poor feet in the shade.

Next up, Heimlich's Chew Chew train. Now, this was more to Isaac's liking. We rode the cute little Bug's Life rides before Jeremy and Noah joined us for the awesome "It's Tough to Be a Bug" show.

Oh, yeah. Radiator Springs. Isaac-Heaven.

We got to meet Mater and McQueen! Too bad we couldn't stick around.

By now the day was getting uncomfortably hot so we found refuge in the cool air-conditioning of Aladdin's Music Spectacular.

Wow! What an amazing show!

This was the part of the vacation that about did me in. Walking from Aladdin clear over to the California Screamin' roller coaster with Spencer murmuring unceasingly in my left ear and Jacob whining relentlessly in my right, and I lost it. Noah and I left them all, with Jeremy holding sleeping Isaac, and went to ride on the roller coaster. They don't call it California Screamin' for nothing. I've never been on anything like it and was screaming my head off. Noah was nothing but exhilarated and took Jeremy to go again. After we had rested and cooled down and had something to eat, the merry-go-round was much more pleasant.

Although we never got to meet Buzz and Woody up close, we did get to spend some time with Jessie.

Toy Story's Midway Mania was by far the longest line we stood in while we were at Disneyland. But it was a favorite with all the boys. We've even rented the Wii game since returning home. My favorite ride at California Adventures was Soarin' Over California (again, thank heaven for Fast Passes) but alas, no pictures.

Buzz' biggest fan.

At the end of the day, Isaac and I sent the older boys on the Grizzly River Run while he and I explored Brother Bear's Challenge Trail. We had so much fun running along the trails, examining the animal tracks, sliding down the slides, and climbing the rope ladders and bridges. I'm so thankful for these oases in the middle of all the crowds and chaos.

Is that not the cutest picture? He was coming at me full-speed and it's a miracle I caught it. What a sweet boy. He's really the reason we all loved Disneyland as much as we did.

Closing time at California Adventures. We ran into Disneyland to buy souvenirs and then it was time to go back to the hotel and swim and relax a little.

Jacob and Isaac finally bought their lightsabers and had a great time dueling at the shuttle stop while we waited for our ride home. My favorite was Isaac's "force push" move that got Jacob every time! Good brothers!
