Just a smattering of our daily activities these last few weeks....

Who says nothing in life is free? We love the free lunch program at our local schools! We go every day to either Taylor Junior High or Mesa High and eat lunch (yes, it's "school lunch" food but it's free!). The boys have fun seeing their friends and I like the impact it has on our budget.

Spencer is in the Junior Guard Start program through the City of Mesa Pools this summer. He had to take a grueling four-day course and is now putting in his time as a volunteer swim teacher and public swim helper. I told him my favorite part was hearing how he had to scrub the pool tile on his hands and knees. But that isn't true. My favorite part is him telling us about the cute little kids he is helping to learn to be comfortable in the water. He is really enjoying his time at the pool!

And of course we are devouring books like crazy people. With all the extra time at home, the boys are going through books so quickly. The older boys love that there are no book reports to be thinking about and they can just enjoy the stories. Really, we've read multiple thousands of pages this summer and have earned all the prizes Barnes and Noble and the public library have to offer!
