After 9 years our next-door neighbors, the Mariotti's, were moving back to New Jersey. They decided to have a moving sale before they left and invited us to join them. Jacob and Richy were planning it for weeks. They discussed which of their things they could bear to part with and planned their pricing strategies. The one thing they forgot to do was post signs! That morning we quickly made some signs to advertise the sale and Jeremy put them up around the neighborhood. We still weren't getting great business, so Jacob and Richy had an idea. They had seen store mascots standing outside businesses, and they decided they could do that, too. They raided the dress-up box and made a poster to direct traffic down our street. We laughed so hard as they took turns on the corner, calling "yard sale! turn here!" It really helped!
