For two years, the DVMTA has been fundraising and preparing for the 25th Anniversary of the Cavalcade of Rhythm. We invited super composer Jon Schmidt to be the special guest artist and it was a blast!! He was so great with his teacher presentation and all the kids were so excited to meet and perform with him.
My boys practiced and learned their duets for months and then had rehearsals for three weeks prior to the performance. Spencer played the "James Bond" and "Superman" themes; Noah played "Chopsticks" and "Cielito Lindo"; and Jacob played "Ode to Joy" and "Roller Coaster Ride."
They all got to play on the same piano with friends: Spencer with Jacob Heslop, Noah with Sam Heslop, and Jacob with (ugh, a girl!) Caitlyn Ashdown.
My super handsome pianists! We can't wait for the DVD to be finished so we can share the performance with all of our family.
