Wildlife World Zoo

The day after Christmas we went to the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium in Litchfield Park with the Carr's and with Granny and Grandpa. It was a beautiful day! The kids had fun being with their cousins and feeding the animals.

Isaac loved spotting the pairs of brightly-colored parrots. The blue ones were stunning!

The Wildlife World Zoo is a private zoo and is known for its "white" animals. They have a white alligator and a handful of white tigers, including two new babies that are adorable! They have Arizona's largest collection of exotic animals.

Noah brought his DSi and was taking photos of everything. When he leaned close to the cage to take a picture of this monkey, the monkey reached lightning-fast through the cage and almost grabbed the DSi from Noah's hand! Noah snapped a quick picture.

Awesome!

Next we climbed to a platform overlooking the giraffe habitat and fed the giraffes. We couldn't believe how cool it was to see their long tongues reaching out for the food!

The tortoise exhibit was really neat. They were in the process of digging a new tunnel in the ground and it was awesome to see the power of those claws! By the way, this is the only picture Spencer appears in from our visit to the zoo. You can see him in the background with the red sweatshirt! Poor Spencer!

All the kids took turns riding in the wagon, usually with Grandpa Tom pulling it along.

At the end of the day we went to the petting zoo. There were so many tiny little baby goats! We were told some of them were only a week old. Calvin, Noah and Isaac really had fun playing with them.

Ethan was a little more reserved and found this little deer in a quiet spot.

And Jacob wouldn't even set foot inside the petting zoo. He stayed comfortably outside and fed the llama from a distance. We didn't get any good pictures from the aquarium, but wow! was it amazing! It opened a year ago and has some superb exhibits. The aquarium and the entire day received five stars from the King family!
