One thing we have never done in Utah is ride the FrontRunner train or the Trax light-rail. So Nana and Papa took us for a little trip to Salt Lake City while we were there.
The boys were so excited. Here comes the train!
All Aboard!
After we got off Trax, we walked a little through downtown. Here we are under the Christmas tree in the Joseph Smith Building.
It was a gorgeous day in Salt Lake. The temple was just so beautiful against the cold blue sky.
All of the Arizona kids were freezing so we walked quickly by the outdoor Nativities. I just love how this one looks like it's floating on the water, with the temple reflected from above.
Our destination was actually the Conference Center guided tour, something else we have never done. 
The building is stunning inside! All the artwork and the architecture combine to extend a welcoming invitation to the world.
Our tour guide was wonderful! She was from Germany and had such a knowledge about the artistic elements in the Conference Center.
It was fun to walk into the actual Conference hall and see them decorating for Christmas.
One of my favorite parts was seeing all the Arnold Friberg Book of Mormon paintings up close. Amazing!
Before we left for home, we stopped to show the boys the Tabernacle on Temple Square. The sister missionaries were doing an acoustics demonstration (the same one I remember from when I was a child) and the boys thought it was pretty cool.
